The DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) equipment is used for separating particles from a liquid phase, this bubbles adhere to the particles and make them go up to the surface of the liquid. In this way, it is possible for particles with a bigger density than the liquid to ascend, besides favoring the ascending of particles which density is inferior. Once these particles are in the surface, they can be picked and eliminated through skimming. This equipment is designed to work with previously coagulated and floculated particles, if the liquid to treat has not gone through these treatments, the air bubbles will not have something to adhere to and the quality of the clarified water will be poor. The DAF tank is a structure manufactured in fiber glass or paints for its protection against corrosion.
